Seabiscuit, A Love Story
Remember that blank wall in our back entry hallway?
Well, I stuck to my keep it simple plan and used something I already had to fill the space.
And just why do I have a Seabiscuit poster? Love! That’s why.
Almost 7 years ago, I fell in love with Jake. The night that I knew for sure he was the one, he had taken me to Seabiscuit night at Great Lakes Downs - the local horse racing track. Doesn’t sound romantic to you? You’re crazy!
That night he taught me how to pick a winning horse. We cheered when we won and hung our heads when we lost. We laughed a lot, ate some surprisingly delicious hot dogs and were given a free movie poster.
Like in most relationships, I knew long before Jake did that we’d be together forever. So I had the poster framed and it’s been in our basement wherever we’ve lived since then. I’ve never really known where to put it, so when the opportunity came up to put it here, I jumped.
Now, everytime we walk in the house we will remember that night. The night I picked my winner.
