Get ‘Er Done: My 35 Before 35 List

OMG. I’m 30 (as of today).

The tick of the life clock just got a little louder (Dramatic? Yes.). Forty seems way too far away, so here’s my 35 before 35 list. (OMG. In five years I’ll be 35.)

In no particular order, I will:

  1. Make a fancy cake, all by myself, that tastes as good as it looks.
  2. Sew a dress for each of my nieces.
  3. Raise/donate at least $5,000 for Alzheimer’s Disease research.
  4. Build a piece of furniture from scratch.
  5. Show Jake where I lived in London.
  6. Throw a super cool party (just to prove that people who use the words “super cool” can do just that).
  7. Finish decorating our living room.
  8. Upgrade our basement to something livable.
  9. Organize photos.
  10. Develop a “signature dish” that everyone loves and raves about.
  11. Find 490 more people to subscribe to this blog (To the 10 of you who already do – Yay! Love you.)
  12. Take better photos (and figure out what the heck aperature means).
  13. Make my own s’mores. From scratch.
  14. Help Jake make a raised vegetable garden.
  15. Watch less trashy TV.
  16. Take a staycation and revisit all the neat things to do around here.
  17. Go on a completely unplanned, spur-of-the-moment trip
  18. Go to the Kentucky Derby, hat and all.
  19. Eat at Chik-Fil-A to see what all the fuss is about.
  20. Not get a tatoo, no matter how tempting it should become during “oh my God I’m old” moments.
  21. Drive up north while the leaves are turning to fall colors.
  22. Win the Super Bowl chili cookoff at the Stump’s house.
  23. Talk to my friends more.
  24. Always give the best gifts and send the best cards.
  25. Get in shape, girl.

26-35: I can’t share everything on this blog. You understand.

Now go show the world what you can do. Don’t forget your rhythm ribbon.

Great list. I just turned 30, and I think I might have to steal about 22 for myself (I don’t see myself sewing any dresses, however, refraining from body art, that I can do!).

Thanks. I hope I can accomplish them all! i have no clue how to sew right now, so we’ll see about the dress thing. :)
