2011: Year of the House
Forget the rabbit. For me, this is the year of the house. This is the time to focus on the home in which we live…and finally wrap some things up around here.
To do:
Master Bedroom
- Patch holes in the wall left from rearranging furniture and moving pictures
- Cover holes in the wall left from some kind of old electrical or phone outlet
- Figure out how to arrange pillows on a king size bed so it actually looks good
- Cut my fake tiger-lillies so they fit in the vase correctly
- Find something to fill in the frosted glass vases on the dresser
- Add art
Master Bathroom
- New toilet
- New faucets
- New mirror
- Fix the weird hole in the floor
- Add art
Upstairs Hallway
- I have a neat idea up my sleeve for the printer’s drawer hangning on the wall and one for the linen closet
Guest Bathroom
- Retile shower
- Reglaze bathtub
- Fill nails holes and repaint trim
- New countertop, sink and faucet
- Add art
Guest Bedrooms
- Clean and organize
- Paint
Living Room
- Add cable outlet
- New TV
- Two new chairs
- New table
- Add art
- Change light switch and figure out which outlet it controls
- New lamp
- Add art
Dining Room
- Change light switch
- Swap out slider door handle
Kitchen
- Touch up paint on cabinets
- Reorganize the cupboards
- Paint the pantry and add finishing touches
- Add art
- Remove old telephone wire
- Fix up Moose’s food area
- Add last electrical outlet cover
Downstairs Bathroom
- Patch and paint walls and trim
- Consider adding wallpaper
- New mirror
Den
- Add art
- Find a better way to organize wires and printer
Basement
- Finish what I started
